Fred D’Agostino - President

Fred D'Agostino serves as President of World Wide Sales. He has been a fixture in the New York Metropolitan food business for nearly three decades.

World Wide Sales is a true perimeter broker, currently representing principals in produce, dairy, deli and meat. Long-term objectives include progressing into other areas such as bakery, seafood, and floral departments. Our expertise in markets such as cheese and produce are second to none. We really understand the perishable business, and everyone here has had experience in this industry.

His philosophy is simple. "We take a very personal approach to the people we represent, and we make them not just manufacturers, but friends. Everyone is a part of something bigger, and is made to feel part of the team. We try to keep the company involved, from the Account Managers to the Customer Service Representatives, or the Retail Sales Specialists to the Executive Committee. We are all accessible, and I take a personal interest in everything which happens within our company."

Moving into the future, Fred feels that the company's focus on being a regionalized broker is a major advantage. Not long ago there was a clear trend towards national representation where one broker handled everything on a national level. Now, the trend seems to be moving back towards more localized brokers with specializations in particular areas and markets. Companies are looking for the best broker for their product, even if this does not mean a national broker.

Fred attended Mount St. Mary's Academy in Bronx, New York and City College of New York. He is presently a committee member of the Cheese Importers Association, IDDBA and EPPA. Fred is also involved with fund raisers with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Leukemia Society of America.
