We would have argued that his happened a while ago, but a new study just introduced this week is bringing one of our favorite topics back to the forefront. The entire nature of the private label business has evolved from the idea of "generic brands with terrible packaging and lesser-quality products... to own brands. Brands that retailers can be proud to call their own... and which give them the opportunity to market in other areas of the country. Gone are the days of the "generic" which would save you a few dollars, but were largely regarded as inferior to their branded counterparts. That is just fine with us...
