Knowledge, Money & Time

Around our office once central debate is nearly constantly heard... and that revolves rising prices. This article showcases the way that several Americans are combating this issue, from growing their own foods to (gasp!) shopping at warehouse locations. They claim that the cost of foods eaten at home, lead by the prices of eggs, dairy, and poultry, rose 4.2% in 2007 versus the prior year. We are scared to think about what this number would be in 2008... but more interestingly the prices of away-from-home food increased 3.6%. All in all, families spent nearly 10% of their personal income on food in 2007... and that number has to be rising. What will go in its place?
